Kiwanis travelogue takes you on a safari

Tour the wild kingdom on a "South African Safari" at the Kiwanis Club of Huntsville's next travelogue on Tuesday.

The narrated film series will tour the Kalahari desert, Garden of the Gods, Blyde River Canyon, Bushman rock art, Swazi dancers, and wildlife filmed on its own turf.

Sights also include Rock Ledge, Witsieshoek Mountain Resort and an aqua-chalet in the Knysna Lagoon.

The program will begin at 7 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 607 Airport Road. Tickets are $6 for adults, free for high school students and younger.

The next travelogue, "America's Parklands," is Jan. 5.

Kiwanis donates about $20,000 a year to local charities and programs.
