Disney Day at AAA Alabama:

Thinking about taking a Disney vacation of some sort?

On Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., AAA Alabama will feature Disney representatives talking about the company's cruise line and, of course, the theme parks. Kids are welcome to attend as parents learn about savings and benefits from AAA Travel.

The schedule: Adventures by Disney, 9 a.m.; Disney Cruise Line, 10 a.m.; Walt Disney World Resort, 11 a.m.; Disneyland Resort, noon.

The day will take place at the AAA office at 2400 Acton Road.

Sandals open house at Travel Leaders:

Travel Leaders will host a wine and cheese open house on Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. featuring Sandals Resorts.

Sandals are all-inclusive resorts in Jamaica, St. Lucia, the Bahamas and Antigua. A Sandals representative will attend the open house.

Mobile's Battle House gets magazine honor:

Mobile's Battle House has been named one of the Top 500 Hotels in the World by Travel and Leisure magazine in its January issue.

Battle House is part of the Resort Collection on Alabama's Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail.
