Stephens Expressway and the 22nd Street interchange in Birmingham will be closed Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. Crews are repairing the bridge deck. State transportation officials plan to begin patching asphalt Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. on Interstate 65 northbound and southbound, from milemarker 226 near the Shelby/Chilton County line to milemarker 241 in Alabaster.
