AU won't make good bowl -- I believe Randy Kennedy said in his column that Auburn is guaranteed a bowl game this year. Well Auburn, welcome to the Weedeater Bowl in Shreveport, La. AU baseball coaches in town -- I haven't seen anything in the paper yet, but wanted all Auburn baseball fans to know that the entire coaching staff will be in Mobile Nov. 5 and 6 at St. Paul's putting on a camp for any interested baseball players from first to 12th grade. This would be a great opportunity for Auburn fans to get out and meet the coaches here in Mobile. Favre gets revenge on Packers -- Brett Favre and the other Purple People Eaters consumed the tasty morsels of Green Bay players and ungrateful management. Hicks was wrong -- Tommy Hicks, you've got it all wrong, man. We don't consider it a slap in the face. We expected to drop. Get over it. NASCAR needs to go old school -- They really need to get back to old school NASCAR racing: Inexpensive and something we can all enjoy. Race not fun to watch -- The race at Talladega on Sunday was a 200-mph parking lot. How much did NASCAR pay Newman and Martin to wreck their cars that way? I don't see how I could sit and watch it for three hours, but the cold beer was really good. Rankings don't matter -- Well, Gentry Estes is at it again with all of his negative comments about Alabama. I could care less where we are ranked as long as we win the last four ballgames.
