Caller has no time for ritual Why do we have to go through this stupid ritual known as daylight-

saving time? It's the most aggravating thing we do all year long. Pick one time and leave it there. If it's not broke, don't fix it.

Backward about time What idiot decided we needed daylight-saving time in the summer? In summer, days are long. We need daylight-saving time in the winter, when days are short. Here it is a little after 6, and it's been dark for two hours already.

Headlight-saving time? I'm driving on Airport Boulevard. It's 5:20 p.m. Since daylight-saving time has ended, it's dark. Half the cars don't have lights on.

Whatever is needed Please make a note for President Obama to not send 40,000 troops. Send 80,000 instead, 180,000 if necessary. Let's get it done and get our soldiers back home.

Save money for necessities We already know that smaller class sizes help to raise test scores. Why secure another grant to pay for another study? My child's school, E.R. Dickson, doesn't even have hand soap or towels in the restrooms. They don't have the funds to pay for necessities.
