• Bingo brings out the best in us
The indignant outrage expressed by some observers over the boisterous behavior of pro-bingo demonstrators on the steps of the State House last week was both misplaced and naive. Yes, Gov. Bob Riley was shouted at, called a liar and compared to Hitler and yes, his wife Patsy could barely be heard over the shouting when she tried to speak. But don't blame the protestors, for or against bingo; it's their job to shout.
