Reader seeks information on Alfred Green of Mobile
I am seeking information on Alfred Web Green, who was born Dec. 14, 1837 in Murray, Ga., and died Oct. 18, 1867, in Mobile, and his wife, Barbara (Barbary).
Alfred Green served in the 38th Infantry Company "G" in the Civil War and was killed (crushed between two cars) while working on the M&O Railroad. I am seeking information to verify their son, Joseph Green, was my grandfather.
My grandfather, Joseph William Green, was born Aug. 17, 1864, and died Jan. 6, 1941. He lived in Citronelle, but could have resided in Turnerville, Mauvilla or Mobile. Joseph had a half sister, Arabella, who married Charles Young McMillan. It is believed that a Charles Young McMillan is buried in Mauvilla Cemetery (just north of Mobile).
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
