Chastang, 6-0, is the only undefeated football team in the Mobile County Public School Football League.

Coach Sam Shelton's Falcons have won 39 of the last 41 games and are hoping to win a third consecutive title.

In the Area 2 championship, Chastang will battle the winner of the Eanes versus Calloway-Smith contest. Chastang edged Calloway-Smith 8-0 and nipped Eanes 14-0 in tough games this season.

The Denton Admirals posted another shutout against the previously unbeaten Hankins Cougars. In the Area 3 title game, Denton plays the winner of Semmes and Hankins. Denton also shut out Semmes 20-0 earlier this season. In the Area 1 matchup, Booker T. Washington and Mobile County Training will play for the championship.

Championship games are scheduled for 3 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. Wednesday at Baker High School. Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for students.

Chastang 22, Alba 0: The Chastang Falcons (6-0) scored on its first three possessions en route to blanking a tough Alba Sharks (3-3) football team. "We always enjoy playing a well-coached team like Alba," Chastang coach Sam Shel ton said. "Coach Charlie Ingram does a fine job and has a fine team at Alba."

Chastang's defense allowed just one first down the entire game. Devin Adams threw two touchdowns and a 2-point conversion, Keontae McCants caught a TD pass and a 2-point conversion and John Snell hauled in a TD pass. Delorean Bethay rushed for a TD and a 2-point conversion. Shelton praised his offensive line, consisting of Corey Williams, William Grimes, Abrian Coleman, Kadrien Toney and Quinterious Locke.

Denton 16, Hankins 0: The Denton Admirals (5-1) shut out the Hankins Cougars (4-1) in a hard-fought contest between two of the area's best middle school football programs. Jamey Mosley passed for 150 yards and Demario Walter rushed for 60 yards on eight carries for Hankins.

Calloway-Smith 34, Pillans 8: Kyron Boone raced for three touchdowns runs of 80, 70 and 60 yards and finished with nearly 250 yards rushing as the Calloway-Smith Wildcats (4-1) rolled over Pillans.

Mason Marzette connected with Rodney Stafford on an 80-yard TD strike as the Wildcats compiled more than 400 yards of total offense. "I was very pleased with our offensive performance today," Calloway-Smith coach Raymond Peyton said. "The key to us being champions will be determined by playing better defense."
