Teenager facing more charges
A 17-year-old accused of robbing and assaulting a woman outside a west Mobile church faces a new charge in the robbery of a Pizza Hut in the same area.
Charles LaBarron Braggs, who was in Mobile County Metro Jail as of Thursday, now faces two charges of first-degree robbery and one charge of third-degree assault.
The newest robbery charge came after investigators linked him to the Oct. 22 holdup of the Pizza Hut at 4600 Moffett Road, according to a police news release.
Nobody was hurt during that robbery.
Police earlier arrested Braggs in connection with the Nov. 1 robbery of a woman outside a church on Moffett Road.
During that robbery, police said, the victim was hit in the head with the butt of a rifle.
Braggs will face a bail hearing today on his newest charge.
