• Former Pastor Tampling dies
Andrew W. Tampling, a former pastor and the first executive director for the Alabama Baptist Retirement Centers from 1976 to 1984, died Oct. 30. He was 81.

• Retired pastor Arendall dies
Edgar Mullins Arendall, former pastor of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church, Birmingham, died Oct. 20. He was 89.

• Wife of Corner pastor Reid dies
Shirley Ann Reid, wife of Pastor Sammie Reid of Mount Zion Baptist Church, Corner, in North Jefferson Baptist Association, died Oct. 11. She was 64.

• Former Alabama Baptist pastor Lindsey dies at 83
John Frank Lindsey, a former Alabama Baptist pastor, died Oct. 5. He was 83.

• Longtime state Baptist pastor, leader Riddle dies
George William Riddle, a longtime Alabama Baptist pastor and leader, died Sept. 23. He was 89.

• Senior adults minister Morris dies
Charles E. Morris, minister to senior adults at Westview Baptist Church, Opp, in Covington Baptist Association, died Sept. 6. He was 80.
