Top country songwriters showcase their talent

Songwriters who have written hits for country superstars such as Trisha Yearwood, the Judds, Kathy Mattea and Blake Shelton will be performing Friday night during another Songwriter's Showcase at the Von Braun Center Playhouse.

The concert starts at 6:30, and tickets are $20 at the VBC box office and Ticketmaster.

The songwriters include Craig Carothers, Don Henry, Craig Bickhardt, host Jim Parker and opening act Chapman James. For more, go to jimparkermusic.com.
