Sanctus Real, West give back to their fans

Musicians Matthew West and Sanctus Real prove where their true compassion lies off-stage.

West's pop/rock songs have drawn in music fans for years. His hits include "More" and "Something to Say." However, West's ability to connect to his listeners extends beyond the story of a song. Seeing him in concert takes the story to a new level with West's natural wit and sarcasm.

Then there's Sanctus Real, which has been a Huntsville favorite for years. The band's rock/alternative vibe has made them a huge fave with songs like "I'm Not Alright" and "Don't Give Up."

Their latest CD, "We Need Each Other," is already seeing heavy downloads of the title cut.

And when they're not singing to save people's souls, they're working to protect soles of another sort. The band supports Tom's Shoes, which gets shoes to children in need around the world.

West and Sanctus Real have partnered this year with World Vision and WAY-FM to see lives and children changed for God's glory.

You know WAY-FM from its upbeat Christian broadcasts to the valley for more than a decade. World Vision's mission is to meet the needs of children around the world and also to let them know that the help comes because of God's love.
