VIVICA: `Kill Bill' was a thrill but a tough workout, too

Booty-kicking actress, fashion goddess and dancing queen, Vivica A. Fox can add another job description to her growing list of titles - the first lady of this weekend's Food World Magic City Classic.

As the 67-year-old football classic's "official ambassador," the star of "Independence Day," "Kill Bill," "Glam God" and "Dancing With the Stars" will get the royal treatment - riding in Saturday's parade and appearing at half-time of the Alabama State-Alabama A&M game at Legion Field that afternoon.

"I've got to get my (parade) wave down," Fox says in a phone call from her home in Los Angeles.

It will be Fox's first trip to the Magic City Classic, but she's honored to be invited.

"They just reached out to my manager and asked me if I wanted to participate," she says. "They said that they wanted to honor me for my career achievements.

"It's always lovely when people admire your career and just want to say, `Hey, good job, well done.'

"And then also I love seeing my fans in person," she adds. "So many times they only see you on the screen and on television and in magazines. So it's always wonderful.

"I love when I get to see them in person and take pictures and just say hello."

Although she doesn't know a lot about the two teams competing at Legion Field this weekend, Fox says she is a huge football fan, listing the NFL's Indianapolis Colts and Baltimore Ravens and the NCAA's Ohio State Buckeyes and USC Trojans as a few of her favorites.

"Are you kidding?" she says. "I love football. I'm a sports junkie. I watch ESPN all the time, so I know the plays and first downs and all that stuff."

The 44-year-old Fox just wrapped up her first season as the "red-carpet diva" on the VH1 reality series "Glam God," in which 12 contestants competed to become a stylist to the stars....
