Hoover's decision to eliminate bus service doesn't mean Vestavia Hills will follow suit, said Vesta­via's mayor. "We're moving forward with bus service whether Hoover abandons theirs or not," said Mayor Alberto "Butch" Zaragoza. "We plan on keeping our route. It may go to the bridge at I-65 and turn around. Vestavia Hills has elimi­nated its leaf-vacuuming service, but the city doesn't plan to leave seniors hold­ing the bag. "Rake a Difference Day" will be sponsored by the city Nov. 21.
