LeFlore junior Danny Woodson is the Press-Register Metro Football Player of the Week, noting the top performance from Mobile and Baldwin counties. Woodson caught five passes for 143 yards, including a 91-yard touchdown in LeFlore's 27-14 victory over Gulf Shores. He also scored on a 32-yard run on a busted field-goal attempt, when he made a one-handed grab on the high snap, sprinted around the left end and outran the Dolphins. LeFlore has won a school-record eight straight games.
