'Supernanny' looking for Alabama families

Friday, November 06, 2009

Staff Report

Producers of the ABC reality show "Supernanny" have announced that they will send a casting team to Alabama later this month, looking for families to feature in the show's upcoming fifth season.

"Supernanny" showcases parenting guru Jo Frost, who steps into out-of-control households and helps guide parents and children into respectful roles and relationships.

According to a "Supernanny" news release, producers have some specific interests. They are "searching for families with unique interests; parents who have ordinary and extraordinary circumstances; teen moms; parents with mean girls or bullying boys; culturally diverse parents; and blended families where both sides are seeking help."

The release said that producers will be in Alabama Nov. 14-21, but did not specify which parts of the state they planned to cover.

Interested parents "in need of help with their out-of-control kids" can apply through the Web site www.supernanny.com. Parents can also call 1-877-626-6984 for more information, or e-mail SUPERNANNY@ShedMediaUS.com.
