Look 'under the tree' for some special treats
Do your holiday shopping, create a holiday table or learn how to entertain for the holidays at Randolph School's 25th annual Under the Christmas Tree marketplace Friday through Sunday at the Von Braun Center South Hall.
More than 80 merchants from across the Southeast are bringing the latest toys, books, jewelry, silver, boutique clothes and accessories, stationery, collectibles, food, gift baskets and more.
Early bird shopping admission is $10 on Friday from 8 to 10 a.m. On Saturday morning, the first 200 shoppers will receive a gift bag. Dozens of gifts will be given away during the three-day market for the purchase of a $1 raffle ticket.
Other special events include:
Holiday Celebration, Friday, 10:30 a.m.-noon, $20 - Margot Shaw of Flower magazine presents holiday flowers.
"Let's Have a Party & Make it Easy" with Sister Schubert & Chrissie Schubert Duffy, Saturday, 10:30 a.m.-noon, $20 - Nationally acclaimed mother and daughter bakery chefs present holiday appetizers.
"Cookies with Chrissie" by Chrissie Schubert Duffy, Saturday, 2-3 p.m., $10 - Children design holiday sugar cookies with an array of icings and toppings under the guidance of a gourmet cookie chef.
Visions of Sugarplums - Gingerbread House Decorating for Children, Friday, 3:30 p.m. and Saturday, 10:30 a.m., $15 - Kids decorate a keepsake gingerbread house.
