Historic Huntsville Halloween Hoopla features family fun
A new family-oriented party, the Historic Huntsville Halloween Hoopla, will be Saturday from 1 p.m. to midnight at an outdoor courtyard called The Lumberyard at 611 Meridian St. It's being presented by the Huntsville Arts Council and A.M. Booth's Lumberyard.
Admission is free, but there will be a charge for some activities. Scheduled events include haunted hayrides ($10 adults, $5 for children), ghost walks, a haunted house ($4-$10), children's activities, costumed storytellers, adult and kid bike rides, a trick-or-treat trolley, a dog Halloween costume contest, Pumpkin Pinata Bike Challenge and teen rock concert featuring local bands plus Robert LaSalle, Days Distance of Florence, Mindtrip of Birmingham and Eyes Around.
