Victim of homicide pawn shop co-owner
GUNTERSVILLE - A homicide victim found dead at a Claysville community pawn shop near here Friday morning has been identified as Ricky Allen Moody, 58, of Sheffield, Marshall County Sheriff's Department spokesman Heath Thomas said Sunday.
Moody's body was sent to the state forensics laboratory in Huntsville to determine the exact cause of death.
Thomas said the department is not ready to say how the victim was killed or whether there were any suspects. He said investigators may be able to provide more information in the next day or two.
Moody's body was found about 11:40 a.m. Friday by a customer inside the Motors & Cash Title Pawn and car sales business on U.S. 431.
The business is located in front of Claysville Junior High School, which was closed Friday because of fall break.
Thomas said Moody co-owned the business.
