Virginia College leases space at Festival Centre

Virginia College has leased 60,293 square feet at Mobile Festival Centre on Airport Boulevard and plans to open in spring 2010, according to Josh Burmeister of SRS Real Estate Partners, who represented the center owners, Kimco Realty Corp. based in New York.

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has leased a new, 10,000-square-foot office warehouse at 2785 McMae Drive off U.S. 90 and will open a distribution facility in November, according to Jeremy Milling of White-Spunner & Associates, who represented the landlord. Adam Metcalfe of Metcalfe & Co. worked for Goodyear. Gail lard Builders was the contractor.

The Hickory Pit Too has opened in the original Hickory Pit restaurant building on U.S. 98 in Semmes, according to the new owner, Brandon Van Hook . The restaurant, featuring country cooking and daily specials, had operated there for 38 years until the owners retired, he said, adding that he kept the same menu and hired the same crew.

Superior Furniture has leased a 10,500-square-foot warehouse at 9381 S. Hard Drive off Baldwin County 12 in Foley, according to Jeff Barnes of Cunningham Foley & Barnes , who represented the landlord. Gina Malbis of Ono Realty worked for the tenant.
