The Auburn men's basketball team lost its second game in a row Friday, falling to UCF 84-74 in the first of three games at the Glenn Wilkes Classic in Daytona Beach, Fla.  The Golden Knights entered the game 0-27 against SEC teams. AUBURN -- The final opening night in the 42-year history of Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum ended with a bang. Auburn senior point guard DeWayne Reed converted a three-point play with 12 seconds left to lead the Tigers over Niagara 69-65 Friday night.  Full story »

Auburn senior guard Tay Waller will not play in tonight's season opener against Niagara. A team official said Waller has an injured quadriceps. He did not dress out for the game.
